The intro week at UNF was a great start to this cool course. Started out with a swim test (which was tougher than I thought). It was cool to go to GTMNERR and learn new things about salt marshes. We were able to help out with the salt marsh research and pull smooth cord grass plugs from the ground to be studied. All in the same day we were able to do one of my favorite things, kayaking and canoeing. The area around the site was beautiful and I now have a new respect for salt marshes! Lastly which was cool to me, we were allowed to fly a drone to take photos of the marsh and it was a first for me! Such a great start and can't wait for the rest of the class!! Now on to the keys!
