UNF Introduction Week!

I had no idea we could squeeze in so much fun and experience into three days! I had never even heard of GTMNERR (Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve), but I enjoyed our time out there, taking samples of smooth cordgrass (Spartina alterniflora) and kayaking around the salt marsh. The projects that Kenneth and others are doing at GTMNERR are so important for the future, and being able to use what samples and data we actually collected to help makes it all the more special! And now I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge on the plants, coral reefs, and the animals of the Keys!
